With over 18 years in the music industry Mike McConnell is a yoga instructor and the founder of Raps & Yoga Mats LLC.

Working with brands like Spotify, Lululemon and more, Mike has led hip hop yoga classes across the U.S. and abroad.

In 2024 Mike launched Raps & Yoga Mats, a yoga and lifestyle brand dedicated to creating fun and inclusive yoga experiences for practitioners of all backgrounds and levels. Fusing hip hop and yoga, R&YM has curated events in Miami, Atlanta, L.A. and Puerto Rico, that celebrate culture and will make you sweat.

Nancy Perez

Nancy, Founder of local community space, Be Like Agua Yoga & Wellnes

Born in Colombia and rooted in East Orlando, Nancy is a Latina small business owner, martial arts practitioner, and longtime yogi who turned her passion for movement into a way of life. With a background in the music industry as an audio engineer and a lifelong love of hip-hop, she grew up immersed in the culture of the ’90s, where rhythm and movement shaped her journey. Now, as a dedicated Budokon Yoga practitioner, she fuses the strength of martial arts, the fluidity of yoga, and the energy of hip-hop to create a practice that flows like agua —strong, adaptable, and deeply connected to the beat of life.
