In 2016 Michele earned further certification to teach Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga (SUP). In 2018 she earned a 500 RYT Certification through the Yoga Alliance by completing a 615-hour teacher training certification with Mylinda Morales at Yoga University of Florida in Altamonte Springs, where she taught Yin Yoga and Warm  Alignment Yoga.

“I love sharing the joy of and work of yoga with others and helping them on their journey towards living a healthier and happier life.” – Michele Benton

Michele currently teaches yoga and 30 hour Yin Yoga and 20-hour Restorative teacher training as well as SUP skills, SUP Yoga, and SUP private group classes in New Smyrna Beach and various other locations in Florida. She also hosts yoga retreats nationally and internationally, hosts events with Save the Manatee as well as organizes beach clean-ups in New Smyrna Beach.

One of the goals of Om Sunshine Yoga is to enhance imagination, connection, community, and experience. Michele creates epic experiences outside of the traditional yoga studio setting by moving the yoga practice into the nature of the United States and the rest of the world.  This not only fosters cultural enrichment but a deepening of the yoga practice itself.
